INFOCUS 2012 - General Information

What is INFOCUS & why is the community SO excited?

JD Edwards INFOCUS is a new product-focused event, replacing our Regional events. This new event will offer in-depth education into JD Edwards EnterpriseOne in a way that isn’t possible at COLLABORATE due to space limitations. The community has been waiting for its own event since 2005 to really take a deeper look into products and re-invigorate the year long SIG programs.  This event promises to do both while complementing the learning and work done at COLLABORATE.  Better yet, it's in Denver - the home of JD Edwards. The JD Edwards Oracle stratagy teams couldn't be more excited about the homecoming.

How is it different from COLLABORATE?

COLLABORATE is still where you hear the big Oracle announcements and industry news; the only global conference focusing on the Oracle ecosystem at the macro level. COLLABORATE is the only JD Edwards customer-led event that will offer Fusion education, JD Edwards World education, new product releases and strategies from Oracle and the partner community, plus an emphasis on professional development and executive content. Quest will continue to offer targeted networking by special interest and geographic location at COLLABORATE and provide our user communities to kick off many of their plans for the year after they've learned the macro level view of what's coming down the road. JD Edwards INFOCUS is where you dig into the product at the micro level.

Who should attend?

The end users of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (those that use the products on a daily or near-daily basis) who are looking for focused education should attend the new JD Edwards INFOCUS event.  Also those JD Edwards World customers looking to migrate to EnterpriseOne will find the type of education available extremely valuable. Education will dig into enhancements, techniques and tips for your tower modules and more.
The Oracle JD Edwards customers that make decisions for their company, should attend COLLABORATE for the high-level education, professional development, announcements and networking opportunities provided there. Education there will continue to address best practices, roadmaps and usability of your towers. JD Edwards INFOCUS is complementary to COLLABORATE so if you fall into both categories, we recommend attending both events to receive the complete spectrum of education available to make the most out of your ERP.

How to use Orchestrator after you build an Orchestration?

How to use Orchestrator, once I build the Orchestration? How it works? You probably saw a lot of videos and explanations about how practical is Orchestrator, right? But, have you asked yourself after you build the Orchestration, how to use it, or how it works? In this Master Class, you'll learn not only how to build Orchestrations, but also the foundation that enables you to expose any JD Edwards applications and processes as a Web Service. That's the idea: not only come with the solution, but give a solid base in the foundation, so you'll have a complete understanding on how it works. This will help you when thinking - or designing - your own integrations: no matter if it is with another system or an IoT device. By the way, I'll show how to use a temperature sensor to send information to Orchestrator / JD Edwards. Let's learn together?
